Just a reminder!!

Sleepover pillows are due this Wednesday, Feb. 10th!!

100th Day!

Thursday, February 4th was the 100th Day of School!

We had so much fun celebrating this school "holiday" as we marked it being 100 days smarter!

Here are some pictures of all the fun:
Our 100 year old classmates.

We can write 100 words!

We can count to 100, too!

We can do 100 exercises!

We can guess and test how much 100 drops of water will look like!

We can rock 100 day hats!
 And
We enjoyed a 100 day snack!!

Thank you to all the families that helped to put this day on by donating to the class.

Playing with Gravity

In science, we experimented with gravity and different object in the classroom. Students worked together to see which object fell fastest. Our testing objects were a balloon, a feather, a cotton ball, a penny, and a foam ball. Students dropped each object with another and watched for their result.

Some objects fell at what looked like the same speed. We had to break out the camera to record the drops in slow motion.

(Sorry, videos would not load)

In the end, students discussed the difference in object shape and weigh. We came up with more questions and hope to perform another experiment soon!
